RockStar Music School includes FREE Band Practices with the full year music program for those students who are participating in the live events in our Concert Hall. We feel it's one of the biggest reasons our school has become so successful.

The band practices are instructed by teachers who take it upon themselves to become very familiar with the songs that are being performed. They all have tons of experience playing live and know what it takes to be part of a real rock band.

The students are required to attend 3 one hour band practices leading up to the concert - the final one taking place on the day of the show.

Band practices are taken VERY SERIOUSLY at RockStar. It is very important that ALL students attend all band practices when they are involved with a student concert. We feel it is a vital lesson in teamwork, responsibility and discipline when a student participates in our band practices and is the only true way to put their lessons to a test - performing live with other students from our school.

We also do our very best to match skill and age level when it comes to putting the bands together and sometimes include a teacher when necessary.

A message from the musical director:

"Tina and I built this school with many things in mind, but one of the most important things that was missing from many of the other music schools was playing with other musicians. It's one thing to play a solo piece at home in front of uncle Joe or fool around with some friends, but it is entirely different when you have to perform in front of 200 people in a real rock concert atmosphere. It's easy to sound good playing or singing along with your iPod, but a true musician must be able to do it live with other players. The music doesn't really mean as much when you can't share it with others - that's what band practices and the concert hall is for."
